The Difference Between CBD and THC Vape!

CBD and THC:

Medical marijuana contains 60+ different chemicals that act on the endocannabinoid system. Cannabis can be categorized into three main species: sativa, indicia, and ruderrails. Of all the chemicals found in marijuana, CBD and THC are most important. These are two natural ingredients found in the marijuana plant which has a very different function on the body. While THC makes you high as it binds with CB1, the CBD doesn’t make you high as it doesn’t link with any receptors.

A lot of peoples asked me what the difference between THC and CBD and how these two affect body, that’s why I prepared this article is. Here is the difference between THC and CBD.

WHAT IS ENDOCANNABINOIDS SYSTEM?

Indeed CBD is not another nutritional supplement. Endocannabinoid is lipid driven signaling system discovered within the past decade. Cannabinoids which are homeostatic regulators circulates throughout the human and animals body, continuing affecting all physiological processes. The endocannabinoid system present in the body combined with CB1 and CB2 receptors. These receptors connect directly or indirectly with a cannabinoid.

CB1 receptors are excitatory and located in the central nervous system, lungs, liver, and kidney. CB2 system regulates immunological responses. CB2 receptors are found in the immune and circulatory system. CBD a non-psychotropic cannabinoid was naturally occurring in human and animals. The Endocannabinoid system controls body response and also affect memory, mood, and pain when any system malfunction, disease, and physical complications appear.

CB1 is there for receiving naturally produced chemical in the body. Because body own produced cannabinoid is endogenous, they named endocannabinoids. Unlike CB1, CB2 receptor has not so abundant within the brain, and it has a particular affinity for the immune system.

What are cannabinoids do?

Both cannabinoids in cannabis oil, THC and CBD affects the body natural endocannabinoid system which helps in curing various diseases. Both THC and CBD have acted on the CB1 and CB2 receptors either directly or indirectly in different ways. It was only known in the mid-1980s that THC binds with the naturally occurring receptor in the body known as CB1. But according to research till date, CBD doesn’t attach with any receptors whether it is CB1 or CB2.

Difference between THC VAPE and CBD vape:

THC is the main psychoactive ingredient found in the hemp plant. It is the mid-1980s, the receptor for the THC was found in the central nervous system and brain. It was called the CB1. There is a lot of option to take THC like smoking which is somewhat traditional, capsules, tinctures or even in food items. THC in Vaping form is considered to be slightly more healthy than smoking. By mimicking anandamide, biding to and activating, those receptors, THC interferes with the normal functioning of your brain.

CBD is primarily found in hemp extract. Many CBD manufacturing companies sell it in the form of gels, oils, extracts, additives, and others. The oil is further used in a vape and other edible CBD products. CBD vape oil is a unique solution for electronic cigarettes and contains a highly active treating substance called cannabidiol (CBD). Many countries have made it legalize for medical use as it has a vast range of benefits for various diseases.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THC & CBD?

The two components interact with your body, but they have different effects. However, here are the following information and difference between CBD & THC vape to choose from them.

  • Chemical Structure

Both components have the same molecular formula: 21 carbon atoms, 30 hydrogen atoms, and two oxygen atoms with the same molecular mass of 314 grams. But both have a notable structural difference as THC contain cyclic ring and CBD contains a hydroxyl group. And this difference in biochemistry controls whether you feel high or not.

As we know, our CB1 receptor affected by a neurotransmitter called anandamide which controls the generation of pleasure, motivation, and feeding behavior. In our body, exercise causes the release of anandamide and its what causes runner’s high.

THC structure is so similar to anandamide’s structure that its binds perfectly to CB1 receptors of endocannabinoid, therefore makes you high like other psychoactive drugs.

CBD, on the other hand, has a hydroxyl group which is different in shape to anandamide and doesn’t fit in CB1 receptors. Therefore, it doesn’t make you feel high. Both components interact in the same way and affect the same receptors. It changes the neurons of the brain, which subsequently affects the work of the cells of this main human organ at the chemical level.

  • Psychotropic Substances

Despite the similar molecular formula and molecular mass, CBD and THC have a very different effect on both humans and animals. As we know from the above discussion that THC is psychoactive chemicals which bind CB1, makes you high. On the other hands, CBD has a large number of health benefits without any psychoactive effect. The psychoactive compound THC has some associated with it on long term use especially in adolescent whose brain is still developing. As per the Newzealand, the study followed a group of peoples born in 1972 who uses smoking pots as teen causes a drop in IQ, memory reduction, euphoria, and changes in perception.

As CBD doesn’t bind with CB1 receptors, it doesn’t change consciousness. In fact, it is a proven remedy for many diseases. However, CBD in its way affects the body. The researchers found that CBD can serve as an antidepressant, relieve psychosis and get you out of arthritis pain and may more. One of the significant advantages of using it is that it doesn’t cause you high.

  • Legality

In most parts of the world, the legitimacy of marijuana and THC prevents its use and storage due to its psychoactive effect. But every country has its law for CBD and THC. Logically, the plant is illegal along with THC due to the psychoactive effects. But many multinational pharmaceuticals companies receive approval for the use of hemp plants as it contains CBD which has a wide range of benefits.

Thus, in most of the countries THC is banned from using, CBD which is also derived from the same plants has permitted to use.

  • Medical Properties

Both THC and CBD have many applications. Many peoples often use THC for its euphoric, relaxing, and analgesic effects. You may use CBD for anxiety, epilepsy, and some types of psychosis. Here are just some of the most common uses for these two cannabinoids.

The use of THC:

  • Euphoria and relaxation
  • Sleep and sleepiness
  • Appetite stimulation
  • Anesthesia
  • Antiemetic effects
  • Muscle relaxation

The uses of CBD:

  • Reduced anxiety
  • Neuroprotective properties
  • Anticonvulsant properties
  • Antipsychotic properties
  • Antitumor properties (oncology)
  • Anesthesia
  • Anti-inflammatory properties
  • For some symptoms of ADHD

CONCLUSION:

Each person decides which way is best for him. However, most users of marijuana do not want to wait a whole hour for the drug to take effect. That is why many consumers switch to vaping as the primary method of consumption of pure CBD smoke products. But both CBD and THC have their various medical properties. They can have multiple side effects, accumulate in the body and can be detected using a drug test.
